Restaurant Lounge Acoustically Treated with ViCloud VMT
A trendy restaurant lounge in Puerto Rico sought to create an inviting atmosphere where guests could enjoy delicious meals, engaging conversations, and live music. However, the open-plan design, high ceilings, and hard surfaces of the space led to poor sound control, causing excessive noise levels and unpleasant echoes.
To improve the acoustic environment and enhance customer experience, the restaurant turned to ViCloud VMT 3D acoustic clouds—an innovative solution that combines functionality and aesthetic appeal.
The Challenge: Reverberation
Like many modern dining spaces, the restaurant faced a common issue: reverberation. The reflective surfaces of the floors, walls, and ceilings contributed to an acoustic environment where sound waves bounced around, making conversations difficult and overwhelming the ambiance with excessive noise. The restaurant needed an acoustic solution that would blend seamlessly into its interior while delivering high-performance sound absorption.
The Solution: Acoustic Clouds
The restaurant owners chose ViCloud VMT acoustic clouds as the ideal solution to address their acoustic challenges. These lightweight, suspended acoustic panels are specifically designed to absorb sound in large, open areas without taking up floor or wall space.
After installing the ViCloud VMT acoustic clouds, the restaurant experienced a significant improvement in sound quality, as it can be seen in the Clap Test done Before and After the installation of the acoustic clouds.
Special thanks to Audio Degenerate, Focal Naim America and Vicoustic's partner in Puerto Rico who delivered and installed the acoustic solutions.
